PlayGrounds Adventure started as an Idea
At PlayGrounds, we are dedicated to inspiring families to embrace child development through hands-on activities that prompt creativity through play. Built by a father, now a grandfather, who has years of experience creating active play environments for his children and neighboring children, PlayGrounds was thoughtfully engineered to inspire young minds.
Boasting a two-bedroom house with a new addition (always under construction), a chicken house with a egg chute, a garage and a Jeep that can always use an engine rebuild, a cafe for coffee, smoothies, and ice cream, and a stocked corner market with a post office, Main Street offers something for every child. Across the walkway, the Treehouse is a climbing experience with two amazing slides for thrills and speed. Add a train table, fire pit, STEM activities, and a corner dedicated to crawlers and early walkers, and no child ever says, “I’m bored.”
For parents and caretakers we offer a full coffee shop with handcrafted hot and iced beverages, flavored iced teas, fruit smoothies, snacks for the family, and rotating pastries. Priced right, and made with love, there’s no reason to stop on the way and grab a coffee drink anywhere else.
What started as an idea to bring something unique to Cherokee County is now a reality that we hope you will experience with other families. Welcome to PlayGrounds Adventure!
Our Mission
Our mission is to offer safe, clean, fun, and engaging play spaces that encourage children to explore, learn, and grow. We believe every community deserves accessible and well-designed indoor playhouses that ignite imagination and promote healthy play.
For the parents and caretakers, we focus on the opportunity to engage in creative play while connecting with other adults who share the parenting journey.
PlayGrounds Adventure is a Team Effort
One man decided to build something for the families of Cherokee County, but it takes more than one man to build a dream!
Meet the Owners
Marc and Suzannah Hutchins have been married since 1990, have eight children and 10 grandchildren, and have lived in Cherokee County since June 2020. Suzannah is a licensed counselor practicing in Holly Springs, while Marc oversees the daily operation of PlayGrounds.
Marc is a Georgia native, growing up in Decatur, GA, while spending time in East Point, Union City, downtown Atlanta, and Smyrna before moving to Florida, where he met Suzannah, got married, and started a family. Marc earned his undergrad from UF (but still loves the Bulldogs) and his MFA from Full Sail University. Marc served in the USMC during Desert Storm, has taught elementary PE, worked as a writer/director/producer in indie film production, created and taught collegiate film courses, and served as a Holly Spring police officer and Cherokee County Marshal prior opening PlayGrounds Adventure.
